Mt. SAC Named Higher Ed Champion

For the fifth year in a row, Mt. SAC has been named a 2023 Champion of Higher Education, recognizing the college鈥檚 exemplary work in implementing the Associate Degree for Transfer.
The Campaign for College Opportunity, a non-profit that advocates for all Californians to have access to a higher education, will recognize Mt. SAC at a virtual event on Nov. 14.
Mt. SAC has 26 transfer degrees available, which guarantee admission to a CSU campus and receive priority admission consideration. Students with an Associate of Arts for Transfer (AA-T) or Associate of Science for Transfer (AS-T) complete no more than 60 units after they transfer to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree.
Since the passage of SB 1440 in 2010, the California Community Colleges have awarded nearly 490,000 Associate Degrees for Transfer, supporting students on a faster road to transfer with guaranteed admission to the CSU system.
