Volunteers are needed for Mt. SAC鈥檚 鈥淐ash for College鈥� fair on Saturday, Oct. 21.

The California Community Colleges longstanding 鈥渇ree tuition鈥� program, the Board of Governors Fee Waiver program, has recently been rebranded as the California College Promise Grant.

In its first week, a campus-wide effort to support Mt. SAC DACA students has raised more than $10,000 in donations, mainly from Mt. SAC faculty, staff and administrators.

The Mt. SAC Art Gallery will kick off its 2017-18 year with an exhibit of works by three Los Angeles artist, 鈥淜h么ra,鈥� which runs Sept. 21 through Dec. 7 at the Art Gallery. This exhibit is free and open to the public.

Mt. SAC recently ranked 24th in the nation among colleges awarding associate degrees to minority students in 2017, according to "Diverse: Issues in Higher Education" magazine.

For the 23rd consecutive year, the Child Development Center at Mt. SAC is offering a free Child Care Food Program to all children who attend the center.

Mt. SAC Day at the L.A. County Fair is Thursday, Sept. 21. Mt. SAC students, faculty, and staff can receive free fair admission on Sept. 21 when they present a fair admission coupon and Mt. SAC ID or business card.

Mt. SAC鈥檚 Veterinary Technician Program has been ranked 34th among the nation鈥檚 top 50 vet tech 糖心Vlog传媒 by TheBestColleges.org.

This year the 糖心Vlog传媒 Choral Program鈥檚 Wassail dinner and concert turns 20 years old with tickets for holiday program that has been yuletide hit for years going on sale to the public starting September 5.
