Student Health Center

Recognizing that total wellness is essential to academic success, Student Health Services strives to provide optimum physical health services to the College community in a confidential environment with sensitivity to individual needs.

The student health services team consists of a multilingual and multiethnic team of licensed professionals that provide short-term quality care to support you with academic success. Our team is dedicated to respecting the diversity of Mt. SAC and attending to the unique needs of each student. We look forward to working with you to ensure that your full body and mind are cared for through your academic career at the college.         Medical Services:

        At Mt SAC, a team of medical professionals are ready to assist you. Our physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses are highly skilled and eager to support you. The medical team focuses on treatment minor, non-serious injuries as well as providing basic routine exams.

        Here is a short list of some of the services offered:

        • Evaluation and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
        • Physical exams for Mt. SAC academic 糖心Vlog传媒
        • Tuberculosis (TB) testing and immunizations; routine blood and urine tests, and some over the counter medication; e.g. Tylenol, Motrin, are available.
        • Routine gynecological and testicular examination
        • Sexually transmitted infections screening
        • Pregnancy tests
        • Birth control pills
        • Emergency contraception and condoms

        Mindfulness & Meditation:

        Allow us to support you with mindfulness, meditation, breath work, and healing sound sessions as a way to cope with life experiences. In these sessions, we will create a space to connect, learn, and develop self-care practices that can be used in our daily lives. As we navigate both online and in-person classes, and all the other changes in our lives, join us to improve your overall well-being.

      • Services

        In a Mindfulness & Meditation Session you can expect to be guided through exercises and practices that will assist you in becoming more aware of the present moment, learning to be connected to your body and physical cues to assist you in developing essential self-care techniques. You can expect to learn breathing techniques, strategies to help with focus and feeling well-balanced, self-talk strategies, and much more.

        Sessions have resumed to being in-person. During sessions you are in full control of the level of participation that you desire to engage. The goal is to give you an opportunity to connect with yourself and others and learn strategies that you can practice on your own.

        Join us in person at our beautiful planetarium for a relaxing mindfulness and meditation session filled with striking visuals and tranquil sounds. We will have time to connect, breathe, rest, and lighten the daily challenges of school and life.

        Mt. SAC鈥檚 Student Health Services works diligently to provide essential information intended to improve student health and wellness, encouraging interactions and discussions that lay the groundwork for improving behavioral practices and spark and sustain motivation.

        • Professors can request health educators to conduct brief Class Presentations
