Unit Reimbursement


The Child Development Training Consortium provides support for educational expenses to students who are pursuing a career in early childhood or child development.  Eligible students may now receive up to $38 per unit for Child Development courses and for qualifying GE courses completed with a 鈥淐鈥 or better (regardless if you receive financial aid).  

Students can apply for courses taken during summer, fall, winter and/or spring of the academic year.

If you fall under one of the priorities below, please apply by visiting and completing the application process: (Please see Student Instruction for completing the Educational Support Grant for a step by step guide to applying)

    • 1Priority 1

      Currently enrolled in early childhood education or child development courses (or GE courses required for an AS/AA ECE or CD degree) and employed by a child care/development program including a licensed family child care program.

    • 2Priority 2

      Currently enrolled in early childhood education or child development courses (or GE courses required for an AS/AA ECE or CD degree) and are NOT currently employed but enrolled in a practicum course (CHLD 67/67L, CHLD 69/91, CHLD 86/87).
