Student Learning Outcomes

• Students completing CHLD 63 - Math and Science for Young Children will be able to plan and develop developmentally appropriate mathematics and science experiences based on the California Preschool Learning Foundations and national standards.
• Students completing CHLD 63 - Math and Science for Young Children will be able to Examine one’s own personal attitudes and experiences while developing positive dispositions towards the study of math and science.
• Students completing CHLD 63 - Math and Science for Young Children will be able to evaluate and apply current developmental learning theory.
• Students completing CHLD 63 - Math and Science for Young Children will be able to analyze how children’s curiosity and learning takes place in everyday environments, through interactions, relationships, activities and play.
• Students completing CHLD 63 - Math and Science for Young Children will be able to design interactive, engaging curriculum based on children’s natural interest in mathematics and science.
