Prerequisite: (ENGL C1000 or ENGL 1A) or (ENGL C1000H or ENGL 1AH) or AMLA 1A and READ 90 or appropriate placement on assessment measures
Critical reading course focusing on the development and refinement of critical thinking and composing process necessary to evaluate and produce academic and argumentative writing in a cross-disciplinary framework. Instruction in methods of critical reasoning, inquiry-driven research, interpretation, analysis, and evaluation of a variety of academic texts across disciplines.
